2). From menu Tools > New VisualGC Window.

If you are using IDEA 2022.2, then must follow the guide to make the plugin works:

From the main menu, select Help | Edit Custom VM Options.

If you do not have any project open, on the Welcome screen, click Configure and then Edit Custom VM Options.

In the editor, append following line and then restart your IDE:

--add-exports=jdk.internal.jvmstat/sun.jvmstat.monitor=ALL-UNNAMED --add-exports=jdk.internal.jvmstat/sun.jvmstat.monitor.event=ALL-UNNAMED --add-exports=jdk.internal.jvmstat/sun.jvmstat.perfdata.monitor=ALL-UNNAMED

用法:

1) 点击停靠窗口下方的 VisualGC;

2) 打开新的独立运行窗口使用菜单 Tools > 新建 VisualGC 窗口.

3) 支持监视远程运行的JVM进程的GC, 参考文档: 远程 JVM 连接配置.

如果你用的是 IDEA 2022.版本, 那么按照如下步骤进行修改才能正常运行插件:

从IDEA的主菜单, 选择 帮助 | 编辑自定义VM选项….

如果还没打开任何项目, 则从欢迎屏幕, 点击 选项菜单小齿轮然后选择 编辑自定义VM选项…. 在编辑器中, 追加下列配置并重启 IDE:
