TabFormat downloads statistics

This plugin adds an option for more aggressive usage of tabs in formatting.

By default, even with the Use tab character option checked, there are cases where the formatter adds some spaces to the indentation. Similarly, in alignment, the formatter only uses spaces.

Using this plugin, you can ensure strict usage of tabs in indentation and alignment.

Usage

Enable the plugin in Settings | Editor | Code Style (General) by checking "Tab Format: always use tab characters for indentation and alignment". This enables the plugin globally. However, for the plugin to take effect for a specific language, "Use tab character" option under Settings | Editor | Code Style | <language> (Tabs and Indents) must be checked. On the same page, "Indent size" and "Continuation indent size" should both also be multiples of "Tab size".

Limitations

Currently, you might experience some inconsistencies when auto-formatting on enter is triggered or when formatting only portions of a file. For consistent results, please reformat the whole file.
