Mermaid Studio provides rich language support for authoring Mermaid diagrams in your JetBrains IDE - error detection, syntax highlighting, live preview, export, and deep code intelligence for all native Mermaid.js diagram types. All features work fully offline.

Also available as Mermaid Studio Core - a free edition with optional paid upgrade for Flowchart, Sequence, Class, State, ER, Block, and Swimlane diagrams.

Supports Mermaid.js 12.0.0 with optional support for previous versions of Mermaid.js. See supported versions.

Remote development: Works in JetBrains remote development environments, excluding JetBrains Gateway.

Compatible with Android Studio starting with the Quail (2026.1) canary releases.

Telemetry

Mermaid Studio collects usage data to help improve the plugin. Telemetry is essential for understanding how users interact with features and identifying areas for improvement.

No personally identifiable or project-identifiable information is collected.

Telemetry is disabled by default in stable releases; nothing is sent unless you turn it on in the plugin settings. In Early Access Program (EAP) builds it is enabled by default and can be turned off in the same place.
