First-class go-zero support for JetBrains IDEs. The plugin delivers a full editing experience for .api files and integrates the goctl command-line tool directly into your IDE — generate Go HTTP services, gRPC/RPC services, and database model code without leaving the editor.

go-zero is a web and RPC framework for Go with engineering best practices built in. It is designed for high-traffic, resilient services and has been running production sites with tens of millions of users.

API Language Support (.api files)

• Syntax highlighting — keywords, types, HTTP methods, routes, struct tags, and comments are each colored distinctly.

• Parser & lexer — full BNF grammar; syntax errors are detected in real time. • Code formatting — reformat .api files with the standard IDE shortcut. • Code folding — fold type(...) blocks, struct bodies, @server(...) blocks, info(...) blocks, and service { ... } bodies.

• Code commenting — toggle line / block comments with the standard IDE shortcut. • Color scheme page — customize API language colors under Settings > Editor > Color Scheme > Api.

Code Intelligence

• Semantic annotations — type declarations, primitive types, user-defined struct references, route body types, and anonymous embedded fields are all highlighted and annotated.

• Duplicate detection — reports duplicate struct names (across imported files) and duplicate field names within a struct as errors.

• Unresolved type check — flags references to types that are not declared anywhere in the current file or its imports.

• Import cycle detection — detects and reports circular import chains between .api files.

• Go-to Declaration — Cmd/Ctrl+Click jumps to a type's definition, even across imported .api files.

• Find Usages / References — find all usages of a struct type with Find Usages (Alt+F7).

• Keyword completion — code completion for API language keywords.

Live Templates

Expand boilerplate instantly inside .api files: syntax, import, info, type, service, handler, HTTP method routes (get / post / put / delete / …), route documentation (@doc), and struct tag completions (json, xml, path, form) with automatic camelCase field-name filling.

New API File

Right-click any directory → New > New Api File. Choose between an empty file (minimal info block) or a full template (syntax + info + type + service skeleton).

Code Generation (right-click → Generate)

• Go Code (goctl api go) — available on .api files. Configure output directory, naming style (--style), and template source (built-in / local --home / Git --remote + --branch with live branch fetching).

• RPC Code (goctl rpc protoc) — available on .proto files. Configure --go_out, --go-grpc_out, --zrpc_out, naming style, and template source.

• Model Code (goctl model mysql ddl) — available on .sql files. Configure output directory, database name, cache support (--cache + optional --prefix), ignore columns, naming style, and template source.

Goctl Output Tool Window

All goctl command output is streamed in real time to the Goctl tool window at the bottom of the IDE.

Plugin Settings

Configure global defaults at Settings > Tools > Goctl: goctl binary path (auto-detected from PATH if blank), default naming style, and default template source (built-in / local directory / Git repository with persistent remote URL and branch).
