Arca is a project management tool built for developers. This GitHub App connects your repositories directly to your Arca workspace, keeping your issues and tasks in sync without any manual work.

Capabilities

• Two-way issue sync: GitHub Issues import as Arca tasks automatically. In two-way mode, tasks created in Arca push back as GitHub Issues and edits stay in sync. • Magic word automation: Keywords in commit messages (Fixes SLUG-42, Closes SLUG-42) automatically complete the linked task on push. • Branch name generation: Generate a slug-based branch name from any task (e.g. fix-login-bug-myapp-42) with configurable naming styles. • Live issue link: Tasks linked to a GitHub Issue show a direct link to the issue inside the task view.

Getting Started

Requirements:

• Plan: All Arca plans • User Permissions: Workspace Admin or Owner • Availability: Generally available

Setup:

• Install the Arca GitHub App and grant access to your repositories. • In Arca, go to Settings → Integrations → GitHub and click Connect GitHub. • Select a repository, a target list, and your sync direction (GitHub → Arca or Two-way). • Optionally enable Magic Words to close tasks from commit messages.

Example Use Cases

• Open a GitHub Issue → it appears as an Arca task within seconds. • Create a task in Arca → a GitHub Issue is created automatically (two-way mode). • Push Fixes MYAPP-15 in a commit → the task is marked as completed. • Copy myapp-15-fix-auth-redirect from the task menu before branching.
