About Lint Autofix Pro
Lint Autofix Pro automatically applies safe formatting fixes to pull requests using your existing Prettier and ESLint configuration.
When a pull request is opened or updated, the app checks for supported tools and attempts to fix common formatting issues. Fixable changes are committed directly to the pull request branch, while non-fixable issues are clearly reported in the pull request conversation.
No configuration files are created or modified, and the default branch is never touched.
Overview
Lint Autofix Pro is a GitHub App that automatically fixes formatting issues in pull requests using Prettier and ESLint.
It runs only on pull request events and applies deterministic, safe autofixes when possible. When issues cannot be fixed automatically, the app reports them clearly without blocking merges.
How it works
• A pull request is opened or updated. • The app detects whether Prettier and/or ESLint are configured in the repository. • If formatting issues are found: • Fixable issues are automatically committed to the pull request branch. • Non-fixable issues are reported via pull request comments. • If required tools are not installed, the check is skipped safely.
The app never modifies the default branch and never force-pushes commits.
Supported tools
• Prettier • ESLint
The app uses only existing configuration files in the repository. No configuration is generated or altered.
Autofix behavior
• Fixable issues: • A commit is added to the pull request. • Non-fixable issues: • A clear comment explains what failed. • Missing tools: • The check is skipped and a successful status is reported.
Status checks
The app reports results using GitHub check runs and commit statuses.
Typical outcomes:
• Success (fixes applied or no issues found) • Failure (issues detected but not fixable) • Skipped (required tools not configured)
Safety guarantees
• No force pushes • No direct commits to protected branches • No file changes outside the pull request • No configuration files created or modified
Limitations
This tool does not guarantee mergeability, correctness, or availability.
It provides best-effort CI reporting only.
It is not responsible for production outages, lost revenue, or damages.
