This technique has been published on ESEC/FSE 2018 (the ACM SIGSOFT flagship conference) entitled "Do the Dependency Conflicts in My Project Matter?" (http://home.cse.ust.hk/~mwenaa/paper/FSE_18.pdf).
Decca can help analyze whether there is a dependency conflict issue (causing NoSuchMethodError, etc.) introduced into a project, once developers change their dependency management script (i.e., pom.xml) or source code, and then submit an issue report automatically.
It can capture dependency conflicts in five scenarios: 1) considering five possible scenarios: conflicts in library versions, conflicts in classes among libraries, conflicts in classes between client project and libraries, conflicts interfered by dynamic binding mechanism and conflicts caused by circular dependencies; 2) diagnosing dependency conflicts based on the installing rules of Maven; 3) submitting the issue reports and PRs to warn the projects against dependency conflicts.
