CodeLantern AI brings an agentic development workflow into your GitHub repo. It keeps your GitHub Issues and Projects in sync when you use the CodeLantern agent skills for development work. Mention @codelantern-ai on an issue or pull request and you can also run the CodeLantern skills in GitHub Agent SDK sessions in a GitHub Action inside your own repo.

Overview

The codelantern-ai GitHub app brings the CodeLantern agentic development workflow into your GitHub repos, allowing you to keep your GitHub projects up to date when using CodeLantern's agentic skills, and to dispatch CodeLantern skills in cloud agents if you have them set up in your repo.

How it works

Install the app and choose your repositories. Anyone on your team that is using CodeLantern agent skills will then be able to have their actions be reflected on the repo's GitHub projects board. For example, if you run the implement skill, you will see a cl-implementing label attach to your issue, and PRs updated accordingly.

In addition, if you have the CodeLantern cloud agent GitHub action runner installed in your repo, then anyone on your team can comment @codelantern-ai with a command on an issue or PR to dispatch CodeLantern skills. For example:

• @codelantern-ai /architect — creates a new draft PR and proposes an implementation plan • @codelantern-ai /implement — implements a plan, consolidates agent learnings, and updates a pull request • @codelantern-ai /review — runs a structured review pass on PR code

Each run uses a short-lived, scoped installation token, so it operates with exactly the access you granted at install time and nothing more. Commands are only honored from repository owners, members, and collaborators. The same skills are available interactively from your editor through CodeLantern's MCP server, so the workflow you run in the cloud is the workflow you run locally.
