About AskFlux
Flux is engineering intelligence for engineering leaders. On repositories the installer selects, it reads repository, pull request and commit metadata (plus file contents where code analysis is enabled), computes delivery metrics, and uses an LLM to explain anomalies with citations to the source data.
Capabilities
• DORA-style delivery metrics — lead time, deployment frequency, change failure
rate, PR throughput and PR size — broken down by team and type of work
• Anomaly detection against your own baseline rather than fixed thresholds • LLM investigation of each anomaly: the likely cause, a confidence level, and
links to every pull request, issue and dependency it relied on
• Team discovery from PR and review collaboration patterns, proposed for your
review
• Per-directory and per-file codebase summaries, with the PRs that touched each
part of the tree
• Code-quality, dependency and security signals pulled together from static application security testing (SAST) tools such as Semgrep, Syft, Dependabot, Snyk (latter via integration)
Benefits
• Answers, not dashboards: every finding arrives with a written explanation
and the evidence behind it, so you can check the reasoning rather than
interpret charts.
• Signal over noise: a finding opens only when a metric breaks trend, and
closes itself when the trend recovers.
• Built for leaders: reports on teams and trends, not rankings of
individuals.
• Context aware: annotate incidents, holidays and reorganizations so the
analysis accounts for what your metrics can't see.
• Read-only: Flux never commits, comments or opens pull requests in your
repositories, and uninstalling ends access immediately.
Getting Started
Requirements
• Plan: free • User permissions: ability to install a GitHub App on your organization
(owners install directly; others trigger an approval request)
• Availability: generally available
Setup
• Install Flux and select the repositories you want analyzed. • Authorize the app — Flux provisions your workspace and signs you in. • Flux imports and indexes them; metrics, findings and explanations appear as
the import completes.
