Claude Usage Bar adds a compact usage overlay directly inside claude.ai so you can track your Claude limits and current chat context without leaving the composer.

• Context breakdown: click the context percentage to see how much space is used by your messages, Claude’s replies, extended thinking, tool calls, attachments, project knowledge, and system overhead.
• Model-specific context windows: context usage now scales correctly across 200K, 500K, and 1M-token models.
• Fable support: adds Fable detection, weekly limits, context sizing, and model-aware pacing. Reset alerts: get a banner when your 5-hour or weekly limit resets. Alerts can appear on claude.ai or, with optional permission, any website.
• Language support: the overlay, popup, and settings are now available in English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. Translations may not always be exact.
• Hover to refresh: hovering over the usage bar or context indicator fetches current numbers. Refreshed extension icons and a reorganized settings panel.

Improvements:

• Better placement across regular chats, new chats, Cowork, and Claude Design.
• More accurate context estimates for images, attachments, tools, search results, and extended thinking.
• Weekly pacing now accounts for activity outside claude.ai, including Claude Code and Cowork.
• New chats now start with the cleaner context-only display. The usage bar and cache timer remain available in settings.
• Removed the outdated Routines usage row.

Bug fixes:

• Fixed new conversations sometimes starting at 1% context usage instead of 0%.
• Fixed the usage overlay appearing in the wrong position or disappearing after Claude navigation and composer updates.
• Fixed the overlay overlapping Cowork controls.
• Fixed stale usage and context values persisting until a message was sent.
• Fixed multiline saved prompts losing their line breaks when inserted.
• Fixed context usage being calculated against a hard-coded 200K limit on models with larger windows.
• Fixed unused 5-hour sessions showing an incorrect reset state.
• Fixed weekly projections becoming too optimistic during weekends, off-hours, or heavy Claude Code usage.

Claude Usage Bar is privacy-first. It uses your existing logged-in Claude browser session to read usage information on claude.ai, but it does not store your prompts, responses, cookies, auth headers, or raw Claude API payloads. It does not send your conversation text to anyone and doesn't have access to connections outside what your claude page provides. Settings, sanitized usage metadata, and numeric token or context estimates stay in your local browser storage. You have easy access to your stored data and how to delete it.
