Proxy Switcher users statistics

Route local traffic through a proxy, with automatic DIRECT fallback.

Proxy Switcher routes your browser traffic through a proxy server you configure, and keeps you online if that proxy goes down.

HOW FALLBACK WORKS While the proxy is enabled, the extension periodically sends a tiny request to connectivitycheck.gstatic.com to check that the proxy is reachable. If it is not, the extension temporarily switches Chrome to a direct connection and shows a "!" badge. When the proxy responds again, the extension switches back automatically.

PRIVACY Proxy Switcher does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. Your proxy settings are stored locally in your browser. The only network request the extension makes itself is the connectivity check described above.

You need your own proxy server (for example one running on 127.0.0.1). This extension does not provide a proxy service.
