About Filter URL Generator for Bynder
Create shareable links from Bynder DAM filters, keywords, and Natural Language Search prompts.
Bynder Filter URL Generator - Create and Share Filter & AI Search Links
Disclaimer: This is a personal project and is not created by, affiliated with, or officially supported by Bynder.
Create direct links to specific search states in your Bynder Asset Bank. Capture supported filters, keywords, and Natural Language Search prompts, then copy the generated link or open it directly in a new tab.
Use these links to create shortcuts to relevant assets from homepage cards, buttons, Guides, landing pages, or other navigation elements within your Bynder portal. You can also share them directly with colleagues or use them as reusable links to frequently accessed searches.
What's New in Version 1.5.0
- Added support for Bynder Natural Language Search (NLS), on its own or combined with supported filters
- Distinguishes AI searches from ordinary keywords in the detected search summary
- Improved keyword detection after submitting a search
- Fixed parsing of multiple manual tags so each tag is included separately
- Improved synchronization when removing individual filters or clearing all filters
- Simplified the popup heading and improved readability of the filter summary
Key Features
- Automatic Detection: Tracks supported filters and searches as you work in the Bynder Asset Bank
- Direct Search Links: Generate links that recreate the detected filter and search state
- One-Click Copying: Copy the generated link or open it directly in a new tab
- Filter Support: Includes metaproperty options, manual tags, automated tags, keywords, and supported advanced/status filters
- AI Search Links: Create links from Natural Language Search prompts on portals where Bynder NLS is enabled
- Compact Interface: Review detected filters and searches and copy your link without leaving the portal
Supported advanced/status filters include Advanced Rights settings, orientation, duration, DPI, user-based filters, and supported preset date and resolution values.
How It Works
- Open your Bynder Asset Bank.
- Apply supported filters, submit a keyword search, or use Natural Language Search.
- Click the extension icon to review the detected search state.
- Copy the generated link or open it in a new tab.
- Embed the link in your Bynder portal or share it with colleagues who have access.
Useful For
- Creating homepage cards or buttons that take users directly to pre-filtered sets of assets
- Linking from Bynder Guides or landing pages to relevant Asset Bank searches
- Providing shortcuts to assets for particular brands, campaigns, markets, or asset types
- Sharing specific filter and search states with colleagues
- Combining AI search prompts with metadata filters
- Returning to frequently used search criteria
Works with Bynder portals, including custom portal domains.
Limitations
- Custom date ranges and custom resolution values are not supported in generated links.
- AI search support currently covers Natural Language Search. Similarity Search and Search by Image are not yet supported.
- Natural Language Search must be available to the recipient in the destination portal.
- Links recreate search criteria rather than a fixed collection of assets. Results therefore depend on portal access, asset permissions, and the assets currently available.
The extension observes Bynder search requests and stores the detected filter state locally in Chrome.

Covers every Chrome Web Store extension with at least 100 users, found through the store's public sitemap. User counts are read from public listing pages. The 10% most-used extensions are refreshed daily, the next 40% weekly and the next 40% monthly; the least-used 10% are not refreshed. Google displays rounded user counts (and caps the display at 10,000,000+), so small changes may not be visible. Rating counts above 1,000 are rounded (e.g. 1.6K).
