About YouTube Resume Position – Continue Watching
Resume YouTube videos where you left off. Automatically saves and restores your playback position.
Never lose your place in a YouTube video again.
YouTube Resume Position automatically remembers exactly where you stopped watching a video and picks up right where you left off the next time you open it — no more scrubbing through the timeline trying to find your spot.
Whether you're in the middle of a tutorial, a lecture, a long podcast episode, a video essay, or a multi-part course, this extension quietly tracks your progress so you can close the tab and pick up watching later without losing your place.
FEATURES
• Automatic save — your playback position is saved as you watch, when you pause, and when you leave the page • Automatic resume — reopen the same video and playback jumps straight to where you stopped, no prompts or clicks needed • Smart thresholds — videos you've essentially finished (last 15 seconds or last 5%) restart from the beginning instead of resuming near the end; YouTube Shorts and clips under a minute are never tracked, since they don't need it • Simple controls — a one-click toggle to pause the extension, plus a button to clear all saved video positions • Automatic cleanup — saved positions older than 90 days are deleted automatically, so nothing piles up
WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone who watches long-form YouTube content and hates losing their spot: students following video courses, developers watching coding tutorials, podcast and video-essay viewers, or anyone who habitually closes tabs mid-video and wants to continue watching later exactly where they left off — like a built-in video bookmark for YouTube.
PRIVACY
This extension does not collect, transmit, or share any data. Everything is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. Nothing is ever sent to a server. Full privacy policy: https://gist.github.com/rndwork/2fcbe4ad05227f724b6eea3b74991f9d
No account, no sign-up, no tracking — it just resumes your videos.

Data source
Covers every Chrome Web Store extension with at least 100 users, found through the store's public sitemap. User counts are read from public listing pages. The 10% most-used extensions are refreshed daily, the next 40% weekly and the next 40% monthly; the least-used 10% are not refreshed. Google displays rounded user counts (and caps the display at 10,000,000+), so small changes may not be visible. Rating counts above 1,000 are rounded (e.g. 1.6K).
