About Notebook OS
Supercharge NotebookLM with folders, tags, concept maps, YouTube & academic search, Web Snip, and a side-panel Note Studio.
Notebook OS turns NotebookLM into a real knowledge workspace.
NotebookLM is powerful, but it stops at a flat list of notebooks and sources. Notebook OS adds the organization, capture, and study tools that knowledge workers, researchers, students, and clinicians actually need — right inside the pages you already use, through a clean side panel.
WHAT YOU GET
📁 Folders & Tags Group your notebooks into folders and label them with tags. Finally find the right notebook in seconds instead of scrolling endlessly.
🧠 Concept Maps Turn dense sources into a visual concept map so you can see how ideas connect at a glance — perfect for research papers, guidelines, and study material.
▶️ YouTube Search & Transcript Capture Search YouTube (videos and playlists) without leaving your workflow, then add videos as sources. Pull clean transcripts straight from the panel.
🔬 Academic Search Search scholarly literature and pull relevant, on-topic results you can add as sources — no more copy-pasting between tabs.
✂️ Web Snip Clip any web page or selection and send it into NotebookLM as a source in one click.
📝 Side-Panel Note Studio Write, organize, and refine notes in a dedicated side panel that stays with you as you browse and research.
🎙️ Voice Brain Dump Capture ideas by voice and add them as an audio source — think out loud and keep moving.
🎨 Studio Recipes & Presenter Go from chat to tailored prompts to polished, presentation-ready artifacts with built-in recipes and themes.
📌 Artifact Shelf Pin and reopen your generated artifacts so your best work is always one click away.
WHO IT'S FOR:
- Researchers & academics managing dozens of sources - Students studying from videos, papers, and notes - Clinicians and professionals building knowledge bases - Anyone who wants NotebookLM to feel like a complete workspace

User counts are read from public Chrome Web Store listing pages. Google displays rounded user counts (and caps the display at 10,000,000+), so small changes may not be visible. Rating counts above 1,000 are rounded (e.g. 1.6K).
