About Chrome Background Runner
Keep your browser open in the background for faster re-opening
This extension only keeps Chrome running in the background.
This extension has no way of accessing your personal data anywhere while you are browsing, its sole purpose is to allow you to keep Chrome in the background.
It only keeps Chrome running in the background (keeps the main Chrome process open in the background) even when you close all Chrome windows. Therefore, Chrome starts faster when it is running in the background. You won't believe how fast Chrome opens.
With this extension, you can receive push notifications even when the browser is closed.
Note: Make sure that the "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed" option is turned on in Chrome. (Settings > System > Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed)

Data source
Covers every Chrome Web Store extension with at least 100 users, found through the store's public sitemap. User counts are read from public listing pages. The 10% most-used extensions are refreshed daily, the next 40% weekly and the next 40% monthly; the least-used 10% are not refreshed. Google displays rounded user counts (and caps the display at 10,000,000+), so small changes may not be visible. Rating counts above 1,000 are rounded (e.g. 1.6K).
